I saw the icon for this, and I immediately had the impression that this was a sprite movie. I watched it with low expectations (I didn't read your comments), only to be completely surprised.
I loved it. It's nice to see video game parodies/tributes with such great creativity. You made my day, and I thank you.
Author's Response:
Maybe I should change my icon? Though I don't know what could represent my flash otherwise than megaman himself.. Thank you for your comment, I'm pleased that you liked it!

Well, I found this surprisingly funny. Why do you have to use clock voices for the characters, though? Not that I have anything against clocks. It just seems lazy... but considering the insanely accurate lip syncing that's probably the point.
Author's Response:
It's just way faster to type something in, then to record my own voice and edit it in.

Good movie, good message. It didn't really do anything to strike my feelings, however, but I still fully understand the meaning. I've cried from plenty of flashes, but this just didn't do it for some reason.
Moving on to the flash itself; it was pretty good. I think the atmosphere was fitting, and the music worked nicely. I thought the children conveyed their emotions very well when they were speaking. I do have a few gripes, though. The most major being that the lip syncing could have been better. It was definitely off at times.
Overall, I did like it. Nice flash, sir! =)

Nice comment, buddy.
Your meticulous attention to detail is quite impressive. We would definitely strive to do better next time. Thanks.

I really like your frame-by-frame work. The dancer moved very smoothly, and realistically, and flowed with the music fairly well. I'd have to say I'm a bit jealous of his moves.
I liked it, but it didn't wow me. Yes, the feel was good, and the animation was very good, but overall it seemed a little bland. The character isn't the most exciting, and the background is very plain. It's simply a little guy dancing to a song on a black (and flashing color) background. The ending was funny though, hehe.
Lastly, in all honesty, I didn't like the song, but that doesn't change my review. You picked the song because you like it, and I respect that.
Certainly a good first submission to start with. Keep up your amazing frame-by-frame work, and expand upon it.
Author's Response:
thanks for being honest. this is what a review should look like.
and yes, i completely agree with you on most points. im actually quite surprised at the popularity, given the fact that the entire movie was made with just 2 layers. yes. its a very simple looking flash. the character is simple, the background is solid throughout. but i'm glad people are okay with that and take it for what it is, a fun, jazzy experiment with frame-by-frame animation. its just fun to watch, even if its not exactly eye candy
and thanks for not knockin me cause you don't like the song. it fits the piece, just not everyone's taste.
thanks for the review. ur swell

A mockery or not, this was a billion times more hilarious than any of the real sprite a days.
Also, you're awesome.

Can sprite movies really be this cool? Seriously, I am not a fan of sprite movies, and I'll honestly say I was expecting this to suck, but boy was I wrong.
The story in this was surprisingly entertaining. I wasn't sitting in my chair groaning, I was actually somewhat into the movie. The voice acting is REALLY good, which also shocked me. I also love interactive movies, because they just have a little extra flare from normal movies. I love being able to interact with my flash. My only complaint is that this isn't necessarily different from most sprite movies. You have your plot, and then all the guys start beating up on each other. Wow, haven't seen that before! Of course, being able to control the battles is obviously a huge plus.
You get a big fat thumbs up from this sprite hater. No, actually, it's not that I have anything against sprites, it's just that terrible series such as Bowser's Kingdom/Smash Kingdom have severely lowered my expectations and opinions of them.
P.S. You ever thought about game programming? If you can program the battles in this I don't see why you couldn't make a game.
Author's Response:
I wanted to go to school for game programming, but apparnetly the school i chose didnt do that, so now im taking a break to figure out what i want to do. But ultimatly yes, i do want to be a programmer, but i must learn to simplify my code a bit.
Thank you for your review man, it means alot hearing that from someone who doesnt like sprites. Because i would like to show NG and sprite haters that there are some actually good sprite movies out there.
(P.S. I dont know why BK/SK are so popular either i dont find them funny.)

I've watched my brothers play games for years. If I don't like what they're playing or if I just want to drive them mad, I simply bash the game in every way possible. Rob sounds exactly like I do (minus the swearing). Thanks for making a flash that shows me what I sound like. <3

You're welcome, Mr. Dragon, I'm glad you appreciate this episode so.

Okay, not epic, but a lot better than many other shitty parodies out there. Most of them just have me clutching my forehead, but this actually made me laugh. Surprisingly, it managed to capture the feel of Egoraptor's movies. I mean, hey, the drawings aren't that bad, the characters are just colored bad, which honestly adds to the joke.
Any person who likes (or hates) Egoraptor and has a sense of humor should be able to at least get a chuckle out of this.

Quite amusing, really. The art and humor seem to have an "Awesome" feel to them, but without the profanity. Some people would complain about that, but I like to get some laughs without there being loads of swearing and adult themes.
The art was alright, could be improved, but it honestly adds to the humor. The animation was alright, and it would have been nice to see some better lip syncing. Again though, it fits with the humor, so I don't really want to complain. The only thing that really bugged me is the boy's voice. It's recorded so badly, and even if it's supposed to sound like that, it's still irritating.
Maybe this doesn't have top quality art/animation, but everything in it was consistently done. As in, the art was outstanding, but the animation sucked. It was all the same quality, which might not have been amazing, but the feeling seemed to fit.
Author's Response:
Thanks for the comments. I didn't think WIll's voice was that bad, then again I had al ot worse voice overs in the past. Glad you liked it, and for the profanity, I think curse words should be powerfull and only used in moments they're truly make impact, like if a character get's an overwhelming villain towering over him, that he then goes "oh f$%ck".
If you use profanity every 5 minutes it loses it's impact. ^^;
